The Voice: with Keith Stewart
8.00pm - 11.00pmKeith Stewart (Ngapuhi, Ngāti Kahu, Ngāti Tautahi) is a writer, a role he believes gives him license to write on anything at all. A noted wine and hospitality industry commentator, he has also written extensively on agriculture, architecture and art.
Of his 14 published books most have been on wine, but art, roses, and food have also featured. His latest book, published in September 2008 by Penguin is on the remarkable history of the Kauri, one of the world’s oldest living things, both historically and individually.
It is also the resource that proved decisive in the establishment of modern New Zealand, which sadly demanded its almost total destruction.
He is also a broadcaster, having begun radio with the formidable Sharon Crosbie on National Radio in 1982 in what was the first regular wine commentary broadcast in New Zealand.
