BNZ taps event organiser Blair for Maori role
The Bank of New Zealand has appointed Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei’s Rēnata Blair as its head of Māori sector and relationships.
Mr Blair has established and run his own business, Evitan Events, as well as taking on governance roles with Ngāti Whātua, the Independent Māori Statutory Board, the Eden Park Trust Board and engineering firm Harrison Grierson.
BNZ chief customer officer for corporate and commercial, Penny Ford, says Māori organisations and businesses are asset-rich, diversified across a range of sectors and are experiencing a period of strong growth.
She says the bank is focused on helping Māori business invest in their enterprises and in their communities to deliver long term sustainable growth.
