Go Bus gone from iwi owners
Ngāi Tahu Holdings and Tainui Group Holdings have completed the sale of Go Bus to Melbourne-based industry operator Kinetic.
The deal was approved by the Overseas Investment Office in June.
Kinetic, which operates SkyBus in Auckland and 177 other passenger transit services across Australasia, is majority owned by Canadian pension fund OPTrust, .
Ngāi Tahu Holdings chair Mark Tume says the company has grown strongly since it was bought in 2014, and the sale allows the iwi partnership to realise the value of that growth.
