Maori help ease Auckland housing woes
Mayor Len Brown sees Maori playing a major role in helping with Auckland's housing crisis.
Mr Brown says the answer to the crisis is more houses and iwi are already involved.
He says Maori are undertaking housing developments from Riverhead in the north to Manukau in the south and considerable work is also underway at Orakei.
Mr Brown says with the population of Auckland growing by nearly 3-percent, or the size of Napier each year. Iwi are playing an increasing role in the provision of housing which is most welcome.
