Positive parenting programme helps whanau in the north is helping families in the north Te Pou Toru is helping families in the north.
Ngati Hine Health Trust chairperson Gwen Tepania Palmer says they have been working with Australian developers of the internationally successful programme to give it a Maori flavour and its working for whanau.
Previously called the Three P's programme they decided on a name change as it had bad connotations and decidedname the programme to Te Pou Toru or the 'three pillars of whanau'.
Gwen Tepania Palmer says the trust is looking for more parents to come on board the 2 hour programme which is proving successful for northern whanau.
