Meth march seeks support
A hikoi to Waitangi has been organised to raise awareness of the scourge of methamphetamine.
Te Taitokerau MP Kelvin Davis says he will be one of those starting at Te Rerenga Wairua on February 1.
He says it's not just a northern problem or a Maori problem but one affecting people throught the country.
He says organisers are struggling to get people to commit their support.
"Maybe it's because meth is so prevelant there are a lot of people, a lot of whanau with a history of meth use but we encourage everyone to come along and get on board that kaupapa. It's a big one," says Mr Davis says.
