Ahuwhenua finalists span the motu
A Hokianga trust, a Wairarapa station and a King Country farm are the finalists in the AhuwhenuaTrophy for Maori farming excellence, which this year focuses on sheep and beef production.
Maori Development Minister Te Ururoa Flavell says all three demonstrated a commitment to sustainability.
They embrace a Maori world view that requires a balance between the social, cultural, environmental and economic factors
Field days will be held in April and May at the farms – Omapere Rangihamama Trust near Kaikohe, RA & JG King Partnership’s Puketawa Station at Eketahuna and Pukepoto Farm Trust in Ongarue.
