Fox not so shy after term in House
Maori Party MP Marama Fox says the best thing about her three years in parliament was hearing the stories of ordinary New Zealanders.
The mother of nine says she has had to learn how to be alone. how not to be shy, and how to meet new people and talk to them.
Everybody talks about having data and expert panels and rah rah rah and all I do is just go home and talk to people because that is where the real stories come from that's where, the real work comes from and that's where you learn to listen to peoples and their struggles and when you walk into the house that's where you just lay it down," says Marama Fox.
The list MP expects to be back next session as the MP for Ikaroa Rawhiti and with more Maori Party colleagues in tow.
