Prophetic showcase for Alien Weaponry
Thrash metal trio Alien Weaponry will play its last New Zealand performance before their European tour tomorrow at Auckland's Spark Arena, supporting Prophets of Rage.
The Northland teenagers say they grew up listening to Rage Against the Machine and Public Enemy, whose members make up 5/6 of the Prophets.
The trio has also released Holding My Breath, the first single off their debut album Tu, which will be out on 1 June.
Guitarist and singer Lewis de Jong of Ngati Pikiao and Ngati Raukawa says it's about the anxiety of being judged and socially ostracized by peers to the point of being unable to function.
