Raharuhi talent recognised across Tasman
The 2016 Ahuwhenua Young Maori Farmer of the Year, Jack Raharuhi, has won one of the top prizes for young farmers in Australasia.
The Zanda McDonald Award 2020 is given by the Platinum Primary Producers group to recognise future industry leaders help them progress their careers
The Ngāti Kahu 27-year-old is the operations manager for state-owned farmer Pamu’s Buller Dairy Group, overseeing four dairy farms and a machinery syndicate.
He also chairs the West Coast Focus Farm Trust and heavily involved with training and mentoring staff as part of the West Coast 2IC Development Programme.
Award chair Richard Rains says he has a natural leadership style that is inspiring and compassionate.
