Peters’ attacks getting old says Harawira
Mana leader Hone Harawira says Winston Peters is wrong to class his movement as separatist.
The New Zealand First leader says he won’t support a governing coalition that includes the Maori Party or Mana because they are race-based.
Mr Harawira says Mana is Maori-led and driven by kaupapa Maori, but its tribe is all the poor and dispossessed of any race.
"If you look at the Mana line up, we’ve actually got more non-Maori as candidates than we have Maori, and in terms of Internet Mana, even more so. I guess (Winston Peters) might be getting a bit old, he might be losing a bit of his memory, losing a bit of his thinking, but the truth of the matter is that he is losing support to the most dynamic political force in the country," he says.
Hone Harawira says Internet Mana is attracting packed houses to its events, and its message seems to be getting through.
