Labour is pledging to continue funding for Maori television and iwi radio as well as set a timeline for the development of a Pasifika television channel.
Broadcasting spokesman Kris Faafoi says a Labour-led Government will also re-establish a public service television service.
He says the channel is likely to be within Radio New Zealand, taking advantage of online content delivery.
He says public broadcasting should focus on the public good, not government dividends or the financial demands of shareholders.
