Kiwa brings reo to ipad generation
Digital development shop Kiwa has published the last in its four-volume Nga Atua Maori series of animated graphic novellas designed for tablet computers.
Speakers at the launch in Auckland last night including Ambassador to the Pacific Shane Jones, MPs Kelvin Davis and Marama Fox and Maori Language Commission chair Erima Henare praised them as and innovative way to transmit language and culture to young people.
Kiwa business development director Steven Renata says there is evidence apps can help learning.
The Nga Atua Maori apps are available on itunes or Google plus, and the first in the series is free.
