Whanau software finds international family
The man responsible for selling West-Auckland developed software into North America says a strategic partnership with an Alaskan native-owned IT company is a major step forward.
Whanau Tahi will work with Arctic Information Technology to pitch Whanau Tahi Navigator to native American service providers throughout the 50 states.
Navigator was designed to help Te Whanau o Waipareira manage its interactions with whanau across a range of health, welfare and education services, and now it is the software of choice for most whanau ora providers.
Stephen Keung, Whanau Tahi’s North America chief executive, says Arctic IT’s parent organisation was so taken with Navigator’s one family, one place way of collecting and sharing information it has replaced its own system.
"They love (that it's) one place in which they can find all information, see how whanau are being taken care of, the various programmes, the cross-sector approach. That's what's swarmed them to the solution we have got," he says.
Whanau Tahi is already rolling out the software for other native American organisations, and is talking to other channel partners.
