Greens baulk at tweaked TPPA

The new Labour-led Government may have to rely on votes from National to pass legislation joining New Zealand to the trans Pacific Partnership.
Labour says changes agreed over the weekend at the APEC summit address most of its concerns about the 11-country pact.
But Greens MP Marama Davidson says the TPP doesn’t protect the environment or communities.
"So what the Greens are concerned about are the investor/state dispute clauses and unless they are fully taken out along with a lot of other things the Greens don’t want a sniff of this and we are going to be firm we oppose the TPPA in its current form," she says.
