Managers become governors in Tainui boards
Waikato Tainui members have voted for change at the three-yearly elections for the tribal parliament and executive.
Former Waikato Tainui chief executive Parekawhia McLean has been voted chair of Te Whakakitenga o Waikato.
The new deputy is Tipa Mahuta, who is also number two at the Waikato Regional Council.
Te Arataura includes several new members including lawyer and academic Linda Te Aho, Aubrey Te Kanawa, former Tainui Group Holdings chief financial officer Hinerangi Raumati-Tu'ua, and former police officer Karen Wilson, the first representative from South Auckland's Puukaki Marae voted on to the executive.
Current chair Rukumoana Schaafhausen returns as the Kahui Ariki representative appointed by King Tuheitia.
