The minister was present at Rukutia te Mana the signing of Ngati Rangi DOS over the weekend.

The Minister says he was impressed with Ngati Rangi and in particular lead negotiator Che Wilson, Ngāti Rangi Trust chair Shar Amner and others.

He said one of the kuia pulled him aside on Saturday and told him that kuia and kaumatua made a delberate decision to get the younger generation to lead Ngati Rangi through the next phase of development
