Raukawa campus for Tamaki Makaurau
Otaki-based Te Wananga o Raukawa is preparing to open a campus in south Auckland.
Spokesperson Mike Neho says it would initially offer courses such as business management, arts and te reo Maori.
He says past expansion has focused on marae-based and online learning, but it’s time to explore the potential of the country’s largest Maori population centre.
"The numbers at home are dwindling and more people are making an exit out to the towns so we are trying to keep up with the pace and follow our population," Mr Neho says.
