Northland thrash metallers Alien Weaponry have been added to the line-up for the Pao Pao Pao concert to be held at Wellington’s Pipitea marae on February 17.

The final line up also includes singer-songwriter Kirsten Te Rito with pianist James Illingworth and band, soul singer Mara TK with songwriter and pianist Mark Vanilau, choreographer and dancer Ngareta Teira-Tuiloma, and kapa haka from Te Haeata Awatea, the combined group from Wellington College and Wellington Girls College.

MCs for the event are Marama Fox and Adrian Wagner.

Previously announced acts include Rob Ruha with The Witch Doctor, Mihirangi, Sianne, Kaaterama, and slam poet Te Kahu Rolleston.

Producer Toni Huata says Pao Pao Pao is about celebrating the diversity of Maori music forms.
