Te Matarau Education Trust has been engaged by Te Puni Kokiri to lead the co design of a regional trade training strategy and implementation plan for Tai Tokerau.

Te Matarau Education Trust is a hapu iwi partnership which leads our Tai Tokerau Maori Pasifika Trades Training Initiative (MPTT). Our partners include Te Hiku (Ngai Takoto), Ngati Rangi, Ngati Hine, Ngatiwai, Ngati Hau and Te Uri o Hau. Our tertiary partners for 2018 are NorthTec and Taratahi. Our kaupapa is "Kete Riki Kete Tangariki" to assist our people on their life's journey.

As project lead we are commissioned to drive the design and development of a trades training framework with our hapu iwi, community, industry and key stakeholders.
