The Māori Climate Commissioner wants to see every parent, grandparent, uncle, aunt and whānau member join their mokopuna today to strike against climate change.

Donna Awatere Huata says with the planet dangerously warming at a rapid rate, the grim reality of a climate change future will be shackled to the generation of today’s children.

The lacklustre response of adults to the realities of climate change means they should now engage and listen to the fears and anger of children.

Full details of the strike in each city and town are on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/schoolstrike4climatenz/
