Tainui Group Holdings has agreed to build a new hub complex for the Accident Compensation Corporation in central Hamilton.

ACC chief executive Scott Pickering says it will consolidate three existing Waikato premises into one housing 650 staff.

A TGH subsidiary will develop and own the four-storey complex on the corner of Collingwood and Tristram Streets in the CBD, with a completion target of October 2022.

It will be leased to ACC for an initial 15-years, with a further four rights of renewal of three years each.
