The Ministry of Health today reported on a further case of COVID-19.

The person is a household contact of an earlier case in the St Margaret's Rest Home cluster in Auckland and has been in isolation since the beginning of Level 4.

The ministry says it’s an example of the 'long tail' of COVID-19 and why ongoing vigilance is so important.

The total of confirmed and probable cases is 1,504.

The number of people tested has passed 250,000, with 5408 tests completed yesterday.
