All votes equal under MMP says Rurawhe
Labour’s Te Tai Hauāuru candidate is looking forward to seeing off his third Māori Party challenger in three elections.
Adrian Rurawhe says he enjoyed the respectful nature of the campaign against Debbie Ngarewa Packer.
But what counts is turnout on the day.
"The vote that really counts is the one that is cast. A vote cast by a young person from South Auckland is equal to the vote of someone say in Remuera. It is a very equal democratic process that everyone should participate in," Mr Rurawhe says.
Polls open at 9am tomorrow and close at 7pm.
