Māori business and governance expert Hinurewa Te Hau has been appointed to the board of Auckland Unlimited, the super city’s economic and cultural agency.

Also filling out the nine member board is former Creative New Zealand chair Alastair Carruthers, who with his partner Peter Gordon runs the Homeland cooking school and food sourcing business.

Auckland councillor Christine Fletcher says they are highly experienced leaders who will be well placed to help get the best outcomes from Auckland’s wonderful arts and culture sector.

Ms Te Hau is the general manager for Creative Northland, and also sits on the Tertiary Education Commission’s Services Workforce Development Council.
