Sweeping changes to the NZ health sector

Dr Rawiri Jansen says "We've seen some big attempts previously but this is 'bold'.

He says there is a 'crescendo' of concern about health inequities and also there is a growing imperative and impetus and energy for doing the right thing, part of that is Maori providers and Maori health professionals and part of that is Maori communities, just elevating our demands for a health system that delivers for our people. Both those things come together so good on minister Little for hearing that.

Dr Jansen it's important to him that the Health Authority will be established by legislation. . What I'm waiting on is what's the putea to support that ambition. That's really important
