Poor areas hit again in Tamaki electorate

Tamaki Makaurau Labour MP Peeni Henare says yet again it's the poor areas of Auckland that are overlooked in infrastructure builds and technology upgrades.
He says low socio-economic areas in South Auckland are yet to be fully connected to broadband.
Both Central and Local Government have prioritised connectivity but Peeni Henare says pockets of poor areas have been totally overlooked.
"Places like Manurewa and Clendon aren't connected to the broadband they haven't had the broadband roll out like other parts of Auckland. I would have thought that getting the biggest city in the country moving and connected and in the digital age would have been a priority. But sadly once again for low social economic pockets of Tamaki Makaurau people aren't connected", he says.
